Halloween Biscuits


Hello Hello!  Today I decided to get into the spirit of Halloween and make some Halloween styled biscuits in the shape of pumpkins, ghosts and bats (which were by far the hardest to decorate.  Why do things never come out like the master piece in your mind you was picturing!?  However they was still great fun to make and a great activity for the whole family go get involved.   


Ingredients 

  • 250g of stork/softened butter 
  • 140g caster sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 350g of plain flour  
  • 2 tb spoon cinnamon  
  • Orange & black frosting 
  • 250g of icing sugar 
  • Chocolate chips

Step 1 

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees and stir together 250g of stork and 140g of caster sugar.  



Step 2


Mix in the egg and 2 table spoons of cinnamon and beat to combine the mixture. 

Step 3


Sift the 350g of the flour into the mixture and mix it all together - you may need to add more flour as you go depending how sticky your mixture is.  

Once the dough is all combined in a ball you can roll it out and start cutting out your shapes!


Then pop your biscuits in the oven for 10-12 minutes until they are cooked all the way through.  


Once they have cooled down it's on to the fun part of decorating your biscuits! Resist the temptation of decorating the biscuits as soon as they are out of the oven - the icing will be so much easier to spread!
